Terry McGlade, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, is what most people would consider a hero. While in Afghanistan, he was injured by a roadside bomb. As a result, he began suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Because of the disorder, he began working with a service dog named “Major”. When you watch the video below however, keep in mind a PTSD dog is NOT trained to do what he did!
Apparently, McGlade’s phone screen was preset to dial 911. After McGlade had a seizure, his dog Major was able to get the phone out of his pocket, and not simply call 911 once, but MULTIPLE times! While he didn’t bark on the line, his repeated calls sent off red flags to the 911 operators, who also heard the very confused voice of Terry in the background. The phone was later found with scratch marks on it from the dog, now completely unusable.
Unbelievable right? Well believe it! Dogs are just awesome!
